Overview
Osmo Anti Slip Decking Oil is a clear, satin topcoat for decking that has already been treated with coloured oil. Formulation to be suitable for grooved and ribbed decking and highly suitable for flat or smooth decking were an anti slip finish is required. The microporous surface allows the wood to breathe which reduces swelling and shrinkage and the natural oils stop the surface from cracking, peeling or flaking.

Note: Osmo Anti-Slip Decking Oil 430 is clear satin and therefore it offers only limited protection against UV radiation (greying). With a combination of a coloured base coat and a top coat with Osmo Anti-Slip Decking Oil 430, your decking is fully protected.

Preparation
Always ensure the surface to be treated is clean, dry and free from any dust, algae, fungi or moss.
- Allow new wood to weather, this can usually take up to 4 weeks, we recommend checking with the manufacturer for advice.
- To clean decking give it a good brush with a stiff broom to remove any dirt, debris or loose wood.
- Check the surface of the decking for loose screws or boards and ensure these are tightened.
- If the decking has been previously stained, painted or varnished, we recommend you strip it back to the bare wood. For previously stained decking use a suitable stain stripper.
- Sand old surfaces to remove any stains.
- If your decking has been affected by algae, fungi or clean with .
- De-grey and clean already greyed or weathered wood at the same time with and rinse well.
Application
Before applying stir the product thoroughly and test a small area to ensure colour and adhesion.
- Apply with a Osmo Flat Brush, or another suitable brush, for quicker application we recommend the Osmo Decking Brush(150mm).
- Apply a thin coat working in the direction of the grain.
- Allow to dry for 12 hours .
Note: Always follow the manufacturer instructions found on the tin.
Aftercare & Storage
Cleaning
Damp cleaning with using Osmo Decking Cleaning Brush or suitable brush will keep your decking looking good for longer.
If necessary, intensive cleaning and refreshing using or ( for green growth) .
Maintenance
Simply re-apply one coat onto the clean and dry surface when signs of wear become visible.
